Daniel "Booby" Gibson stepped into the spotlight when he starred as a guard for the University of Texas at Austin. During his time there, he scored a total of 935 points and became the first freshman in school history to lead Texas in scoring. Forgoing his final two years of eligibility, Booby entered the 2006 NBA Draft and was selected in the second round by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He would stay with the Cavs for the next seven years totaling 3,115 points, 792 rebounds, and 775 assists.
Following his success in the NBA, Booby broadened his horizons by staring in numerous tv series including Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, from 2017 to 2019, as well as The Challenge: Champs vs Stars in 2018. Booby is also known for his rap career which he launched in 2014, including his song 'Nobody Knows' which describes his transition from basketball to the entertainment industry. Its poetic lyrics cover the hardships that he has faced throughout his career.
